Editorial Policy

• Retailers and manufacturers cannot pay for coverage, placement or scores.
• Affiliate commissions are handled separately from editorial work and never change a result.
• If a manufacturer supplies a unit, the review says so.

• We only write “we tested” when we tested the product ourselves and hold the raw results.
• Every score is calculated from measurements using a versioned method. See how scores work.
• Values from manufacturers or other sources are labelled with their source and never presented as our measurement.
• Demo or illustrative data is labelled as such wherever it appears.

Factual claims that do not come from our own testing cite the organisation, document and date we accessed it. We prefer primary sources: manufacturers’ specification sheets, standards bodies and government agencies.

Each review has a changelog listing what changed and when. When we find a mistake we correct it, note the correction in the changelog and, if it affects a score or a pick, say so plainly.

We may use AI tools to help with drafting, code and illustrations. They never generate test results, and every published claim is checked by a person. AI-generated illustrations are never presented as photographs of a real product.
